Description

The N5200 is not able to mount partitions on an attached USB disk other than FAT. This is due to the script /app/bin/usb.hotplug using illegal mount options for other partitions than FAT. As a workaround, this script adjusts /app/bin/usb.hotplug so it tries to mount the USB disks without any special mount options when the mount with the special options failed. This means, that this patch only augments /app/bin/usb.hotplug and that it stays backward compatible.

This patch will do the following things:

  • Copy the script /app/bin/usb.hotplug to /etc/usb.hotplug.new and change that script so it tries to mount the USB disk without any special options in case the mount with special options failed.
  • Change the script /etc/hotplug/scsi.agent so it uses /etc/usb.hotplug.new
  • Correct /app/cfg/rc.local so it mounts all connected USB disks when starting up after boot

The package installation can be run several times without any problems as it cares if it has been run previously. For all file which are modified there will be an initial backup of that file with the extension .ORIG.
