Description

This module enables the SNMP agent on the NAS and allows to configure the agent. The module uses the agent pre-installed in /opt/netsnmp but adds the MIBs in the modules system/etc/mibs directory.

Beside standard MIB support some monitoring and notification options can be configured through the WebUI.

These are:
  • link up/down
  • Swap space low
  • high system load

Further a private MIB tree has been added to allow N5200 specific events to be monitored. The MIB tree used is .1.3.6.1.4.1.14822.101.21.5200.1 (or enterprises.fajo.vendor.thecus.n5200.thecusIO). The net-snmp MIBs are bundled with the module and can be downloaded here.

Installation

Use the link in the Versions section to download the module. To prevent your browser from starting media players (because of the .mod extension) the module package is contained in a ZIP file.

Extract the module binary package (.mod) from the archive and install it.

Configuration

After enabling the module the module configuration page can be accessed. Configuration parameters are explained at the bottom of the configuration page.

Starting with 1.01.00 it is possible to completely customize the configuration using the advanced configuration textbox on the configuration screen. This will allow one to add monitors or configure SNMP v3 access controls.
